Dylan lauk Bachelor of Fine Arts gráðu í ljósmyndun frá Parsons School of Design árið 2023. Verkefni hans ‘Warm Vicinity’ komst á lista fyrir Landskrona Foto Residency í samvinnu við PhMuseum’s Photography Grant 2023. Dylan hefur sýnt ljósmyndir í Salmagundi Art Club & Parsons School of Design, hvorutveggja í New York borg.
Sýningin verður opin föstudaginn 27. desember frá 17:00 til 20:00 og helgina 28.–29. desember frá 14:00 – 17:00 báða dagana.

Many kinds of days – A Solo Exhibition by Dylan Anderson
What is a window if not the air framed by right angles?*
New York-based artist Dylan Anderson (b. 2001, Evanston, IL) presents his first solo exhibition of photographs with Gilfélagið and Deiglan Gallery in Akureyri, Iceland.
„Many kinds of days“ consists primarily of analog photographs made in 2023 and 2024. The work explores themes of connection, temporality, curiosity, and light, interwoven through intimate vignettes of life in cities, portraits of dogs, and magnifying sheets. Drawing from his sensibility and the impression of North Iceland, Dylan has experimented with new materials and presentation techniques, offering quiet reflections and sparking conversations about finding intimacy in the everyday and the inanimate.
Dylan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Parsons School of Design in 2023. His project „Warm Vicinity“ was awarded a shortlist for the Landskrona Foto Residency in collaboration with PhMuseum’s 2023 Photography Grant. He is the current resident at the Gil Artist Residency in Akureyri, Iceland for December 2024. Dylan has shown photographs in group exhibitions at Salmagundi Art Club & Parsons School of Design, both in New York City.
Gilfélagið’s December guest resident Dylan Anderson will open his exhibition on Friday, December 27th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The work will be on display the weekend of December 28–29 with viewing hours from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
