Grounding, gjörningur á sunnudaginn

Ivana Pedljo and Jasmin Dasović are part of the Tricycle Trauma performing collective, operating in Zagreb, Croatia. Natively based in contemporary circus, they strive to incorporate elements, practices and strategies from other performing arts. Thematically they steer toward darker themes and aesthetics, commonly making use of extreme forms of music and cultivating intricate lo-fi tech setups.During the residency, they’re developing their solo performance “Grounding”, based in contemporary dance and object manipulation.

The piece is envisioned as a continuation of Ivana’s previous solo performance “Arcing: a Duodrama for a Human and a Trapeze”, now setting the aerial performer in a completely grounded situation with an un-rigged trapeze. The musical accompaniment also continues in a previously established musique concrete direction, this time using the sounds recorded in various locations in Icelandic nature during their stay.

They will perform a work in progress presentation of their work on Sunday, March 27th in Deiglan at 17hr. Light refreshments and chat after the performance. Free entry.
