Ég er þýskur málari sem vinn með blandaða tækni, yfirleitt á stóra striga. Verkin mín eru óhlutbundin, þar sem ég tjái það sem ég sé og hvernig mér líður. Umhverfið hefur mikil áhrif á mig og sérstaklega töfrandi náttúra Íslands sem verður helsta viðfangsefni teikninga, málverka og ljósmynda minna.
I am a German painter working with mixed media, in general on canvas in big formats. My work is non figurative, more an expression of what I see and feel. The environment has a big impact and especially the fascinating nature of Iceland is the main subject in my sketches, drawings and photographies. I am happy to be part of the Akureyri Summer Art Festival. It is a good occasion to present my work and completes perfectly the end of my stay as an Artist in Residence in Akureyri. Sonja will exhibit her work at the end of her stay, July 28th – 29th in Deiglan.
