The price for a full month is ISK105.000 per artist. A fee of ISK60.000 is charged for each additional artist.
We ask that you pay a confirmation fee of ISK25.000 once your application has been approved.
The Gil Artist Residency is in the Listagil in Akureyri, where it’s been located since 1992. In the Listagil, you can find many artist studios, independent exhibition spaces, and the Akureyri Art Museum, along with many restaurants and pubs. Our goal is to stimulate the artistic flow through dialogue with the community and close surroundings, other artists and cultural institutions and we seek to enforce the relations between participants and the community.
Our residency is fully equipped for your stay, as it has a small kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom with a queen sized bed. In the workspace you have access to an internet connection, two working desks, shelves and a sofa bed. There is direct access between the residency and Deiglan, which is the Gil Exhibition Space. We can accommodate a single artist, or a couple, at a time.
