Artist in residence for the month of September 2025
In my paintings installations it is not about copying the nature.
It s like stepping into an endless snowy plain that you take the breath away
before you take the first step and carefully leaves your footprint on it.
It s a start from the white.
I make a translation of nature as I experience and feel it and
display that by means of color and line.
A color sometimes thick and sometimes thin, applied with a
knife or brush.
A line sometimes fierce ,sometimes soft.
Contradiction is what I like, search in life, nature.
Those opposites that eventually go together.
How impressive are the contrasts in nature.
Especially experienced this in Iceland where I was allowed to
work for a month in Artak residence in Grundarfjordur west Iceland.
This country made a huge impression on me.
Molten rocks came out of earth.
The fire makes the Island bigger.
Large ice caps with Vulcans underneath.
The white ice caps with many colors, geothermal springs.
The beginning, the many colors that arise from the white ,which everything
is possible
I hope to intensive my work when I am in Gill residence in Akureyri
The realization, earth is impressive.
