Nadya Steare exhibition opens July 19 at 1100 hours, in Deiglan, Akureyri.

Nadya Steare (b. 2001) is an American mixed media artist and current BFA candidate at George Mason University. Her personal journey towards sustainable living is reflected in the usage of recycled and earth-based materials in her artwork. Ultimately, she intends to transition her creative practice to all naturally-sourced product alternatives.  

The work on display, created during her residency at Akureyri Art Museum, investigates the borderline between wilderness and civilization. Where are the boundaries and what lies beyond?
