Dennise Vaccarello and Manuel Mata Piñeiro are our February artists in residency.

Dennise Vaccarello
Multidisciplinary artist based in Galicia, Spain
Her body of work is centered around the landscape as a space of creation, to develop pictorical, sonorous, self-referencial or fictional ideas.
During the stay she will explore the city and Icelandic culture, mixing the everyday with the fantastic.

Manuel Mata Piñeiro is a spanish artist, writer and university professor. His work focuses on instant
photography and experimental literature, giving special importance to everyday life and realism.
During his stay at Akureyri, he will focus on extracting a poetic language from his private life that he
will finally offer in the form of visual flashes and short poetry.

Dennise and Manuel will exhibit the products of their stay in Deiglan, Akureyri the weekend of 22nd – 24th of february 2019.
