You are invited to the opening of \u201eTemporary Environment\u201c by Hendrikje K\u00fchne \/ Beat Klein in Deiglan, Kaupvangsstr\u00e6ti 23 on Friday, june 28th<\/sup> at 5pm \u2013 8pm. Also open on Sat. At 1pm \u2013 5pm.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hendrikje K\u00fchne \/ Beat Klein present six small bodies of work created while on the residency at Gilf\u00e9lagid in July 2017. The slide show “Car Stills” shows the changing parking situation as seen from the kitchen window, turning them into colourful abstract compositions. Archetypal landscapes are the subject matter of “Contained Surroundings”, a series of painted by heart, black and white watercolours. The unusual presentation adds a special light. Both “Bake-a-View” and “Landscapes with a Sell-by Date”<\/span> play on the connection between the sublimity of painting and its mundane ground. “The First and the Last of its Kind” consists of dozens of birdlike collages playfully created out of used food packages. \u201ePop-up Distraction\u201c takes up the subject matter of ideal landscape as represented in picture postcards and adds a source of irritation.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
