For A! Performance Festival, artist duo Clare & Christalena will build and operate a time travel portal. Participants are guided through a multisensory meditation to help them articulate their geographical, spiritual and emotional locations in the universe, asking, where are you on the timeline?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christalena\u2019s practice engages with craft, labor, and the scaled production systems that have generated these histories. In performance works she inhabits roles like archivist, laborer or spiritual medium to investigate the relationships of \u201cproducer\u201d to \u201cconsumer\u201d and \u201cartist\u201d to \u201cviewer.\u201d She grew up in the US and received an MFA in Textiles from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clare is a M\u00e9tis Canadian artist that has been working in Iceland for the last 8 years. Her practice revolves around performative gestures and interactive experience \u2013 inviting people into familiar frameworks with poetic fellowship as a goal.
