She will exhibit the products of her stay in Deiglan July 25<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;\u2013 26<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Snj\u00f3laug Vernhar\u00f0sd\u00f3ttir graduated from The Icelandic College of Art and Craft (Now Iceland University of the Arts) in 1986, School of Multimedia in Reykjav\u00edk in 2001 and Arts Education from IUA (LH\u00cd) in 2004. She has worked as a graphic designer since graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sigga Snj\u00f3laug has worked for advertising and printing agencies for example&nbsp;\u00de\u00f3rhildur&#8217;s Advertising Agency, White and Black Printing Company as well as \u00cdslenska \u00fatvarpsf\u00e9lagi\u00f0\/Nor\u00f0urlj\u00f3s:&nbsp; 365 Broadcasting Company, where she managed all the company\u2019s websites, tv, radio, subscription &#8211; and websites for varios TV-programs and played a part in the development of web management system, and designed the first subscription website for \u00cdslenska \u00fatvarpsf\u00e9lagi\u00f0\/Nor\u00f0urlj\u00f3s:&nbsp; 365 Broadcasting Company in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sigga Snj\u00f3laug has been involved in designing a variety of projects, including designs for packaging, logos, books and book covers, advertisements and websites. Companies she has worked for include: Harpa Paint Company, BM Vall\u00e1, Mj\u00f3lkurb\u00fa fl\u00f3amanna, Papco, &nbsp;Margt sm\u00e1tt&nbsp;og&nbsp;Mj\u00f3lkursamlag KS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She worked as a teacher at the Technical College &#8211; &nbsp;school of the industry, for 15 years where she taught design, visual art, multimedia, animation, web design and drawing, both on a computer and traditionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sigga Snj\u00f3laug has also taught individual courses at Technical College &#8211; school of the industry, and as well at Promennt education company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sigga Snj\u00f3laug has always had interest in arts, theater and maskmaking and among other things, she worked for the Theatre Company in Sau\u00f0\u00e1rkr\u00f3kur 1997, where she designed and made costumes and masks for the children\u2019s play&nbsp;<em>Tr\u00edtill&nbsp;<\/em>by Hilmir J\u00f3hannesson and Hulda J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir and props for&nbsp;<em>Hafi\u00f0 bl\u00e1a<\/em>&nbsp;(The Blue Sea) by Kikka and \u00deorvaldur Bjarni. She also designed a poster for &nbsp;<em>Dalur hinna blindu<\/em>&nbsp;(The Valley of the Blind) by the theater group \u00de\u00edbilja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The residency in Akureyri is an important step in the development process ahead for Sigga Snj\u00f3laug and the stay will be used to work on an illustration on a book and on an exhibition in 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sigga Snj\u00f3laug er gestalistama\u00f0ur Gilf\u00e9lagsins \u00ed j\u00fal\u00ed.
