Listaverk hennar rannsaka og fjalla um allt fr\u00e1 s\u00e1lr\u00e6num \u00e1f\u00f6llu til stj\u00f3rm\u00e1la- og samf\u00e9lagslegra vandam\u00e1la eins og \u00e1taka og nau\u00f0ugar. H\u00fan gerir tilraunir me\u00f0 margmi\u00f0lun, t.d. lj\u00f3smyndun, myndbandsverk, varpanir, texta og innsetningar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caglar var vi\u00f0 Su\u00f0ur Kivu h\u00e9ra\u00f0 \u00ed L\u00fd\u00f0veldinu Kong\u00f3 me\u00f0 MSF \u00ed mars til okt\u00f3ber 2019 til a\u00f0 a\u00f0sto\u00f0a f\u00f3rnarl\u00f6mb ofbeldis og sj\u00faklinga. \u00c1 \u00feessum t\u00edma skr\u00e1\u00f0i h\u00fan \u00f3tamda n\u00e1tt\u00faru landsins sem er krefjandi m\u00f6nnum og jafnvel l\u00edfsh\u00e6ttuleg vegna sj\u00fakd\u00f3ma, samg\u00f6nguvandam\u00e1la og almennt \u00f6ryggi. \u00c1 me\u00f0an Caglar dvelur \u00ed gestavinnustoCfu Gilf\u00e9lagsins um h\u00fan vinna \u00e1fram me\u00f0 \u00fe\u00e6r lj\u00f3smyndir, myndb\u00f6nd og hlj\u00f3\u00f0 sem h\u00fan t\u00f3k upp \u00e1 \u00feessum t\u00edma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Caglar Tahiroglu(b. Istanbul, Turkish\/French) is an interdisciplinary artist and manager of mental health activities in humanitarian organizations. Having completed an MSc in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology at Lyon University in 2011, she brought this field of study to her art practice by gaining an MA in Art & Science, Department of Art from Central St. Martins in 2018. Since then, she shares her time between international assignments of Doctors Without Borders(MSF) and her art practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Her artistic work investigates topics ranging from psychological trauma to political and societal issues such as conflicts and forced displacement. She experiments with multimedia platforms such as photography, moving image, projection mapping, text, and installation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Caglar was at South Kivu region of Democratic Republic of Congo with MSF between March-October 2019 to assist victims of violence and diseases. During her time, she documented country\u2019s untamed nature which presents humans a great deal of life\/death challenges(diseases, transportation and safety problems \u2026 ) During Gil Residency, she will work on this photography, video and sound recordings which resonate with its social context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Caglar Tahiroglu will exhibit the products of her stay in Deiglan on January 31st – February 2nd and there will also be an artist talk during that time. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
