His artistic practice stems from experimental engagement with everyday computer technology and the reinterpretation and manipulation of common objects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While many creatives fully embrace the latest versions of software to help enhance their work, John is in the process of revisiting older, installed programs from the early 1990s; basic programs once available on every computer. These programs are not the current \u201csoftware-as-a-service,\u201d such as Photoshop or a downloadable app for a Smartphone, but rather programs that were purchased and installed using diskettes or CDs.
