Listamennirnir koma b\u00e6\u00f0i fr\u00e1 Sp\u00e1ni og eru pr\u00f3fessorar hj\u00e1 Listah\u00e1sk\u00f3lanum \u00ed Pontevedra.
\n\u00der\u00e1tt fyrir \u00f3l\u00edk \u00e1hugasvi\u00f0 og hugmyndir \u00fe\u00e1 eru \u00feau v\u00f6n \u00fev\u00ed a\u00f0 deila s\u00fdningarr\u00fdmi og koma \u00e1 framf\u00e6ri mismunandi sj\u00f3narmi\u00f0um sem au\u00f0ga hugmyndir hvors annars. \u00c1 s\u00fdningunni ver\u00f0a \u00fev\u00ed kynntar tv\u00e6r hugmyndir.
\nDennise Vaccarello vinnur eins og oft \u00e1\u00f0ur verk \u00fear sem landslag, sk\u00e1ldskapur og dagdraumar spila lykilhlutverki. H\u00fan vinnur \u00fatfr\u00e1 reynslu sinni af Akureyri \u00fear sem h\u00fan m\u00f3tar umr\u00e6\u00f0u sem sveiflast \u00e1 milli v\u00edsinda og fantas\u00edu.
\nManual Mata vinnur me\u00f0 skyndilj\u00f3smyndun (polaroid) og stutta texta sem s\u00fdna fr\u00e1 d\u00f6gum hans \u00e1 Akureyri. Please join us for the opening of “Untitled Lullaby” in Deiglan, Kaupvangsstr\u00e6ti 23 Akureyri, on Friday, 22nd of February hr. 17 – 20. The exhibition is open on Saturday and Sunday hr. 13 – 17. Light refreshments and the artists are present.<\/p>\n

The exhibition focuses on the work of Dennise Vaccarello and Manuel Mata, current residents of the Gil Artist Residency.
\nBoth artists come from Spain and work as professors at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Pontevedra. Although their interests and proposals follow very different paths, they are accustomed to sharing the same exhibition space and to interpenetrate their different points of view in order to enrich their respective proposals.
\nDuring the exhibition, two separate proposals will be shown.
\nOn one hand, Dennise Vaccarello will follow her usual line of work in which landscape, fiction and daydreaming play a central role. Through her experience in Akureyri she will give shape to a discourse that oscillates between the scientific field and the fantasy.
\nOn the other hand, Manuel Mata will work with instant photography and short text to offer an approximation to his days in Akureyri. Using the diary as a discursive tool, Manuel will focus his work on poetic language, brief narration and technical simplicity.
\n\u201cUntitled Lullaby\u201d is the title of the exhibition, which serves as a bridge between the work of both artists and, also, between the quality of foreigners of these and the effect that Iceland has on them.<\/p>\n
