Maureen Patricia Clark var stoltur \u00edslenskur amer\u00edkani, f\u00e6dd \u00ed Ohio. H\u00fan bj\u00f3 \u00ed Bandar\u00edkjunum \u00fear til h\u00fan flutti ellefu \u00e1ra til \u00cdslands me\u00f0 systkinum s\u00ednum tveimur og m\u00f3\u00f0ur. 2000 – 4 bj\u00f3 h\u00fan \u00ed Fl\u00f3r\u00edda en flutti aftur til \u00cdslands vegna heim\u00fer\u00e1r. Draumur hennar var a\u00f0 f\u00e1 f\u00f3lk til a\u00f0 brosa og nj\u00f3ta me\u00f0 list sinni, jafnmiki\u00f0 og h\u00fan \u00feegar h\u00fan var a\u00f0 vinna verkin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pat h\u00e9lt fj\u00f6lda einkas\u00fdninga, t\u00f3k \u00fe\u00e1tt \u00ed m\u00f6rgum sams\u00fdningum og seldi verk s\u00edn um allan heim \u00e1samt \u00fev\u00ed a\u00f0 vinna a\u00f0 g\u00f3\u00f0ger\u00f0arm\u00e1lum, b\u00e6\u00f0i me\u00f0 vinnu og a\u00f0 s\u00fdna verk eftir sig.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please join us for the opening of \u201cColor me happy\u201d, an exhibition held in memory of Maureen Patricia Clark or Pat. On display will be several paintings by Pat made throughout the years.\u00a0<\/span>The opening is on Friday the 3rd of August hr. 20:00 in Deiglan, Akureyri. The exhibition is also open on saturday and sunday, August 4-5th hr. 14 – 17.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pat was a proud Icelandic\/American born in Ohio. She lived in the USA until she moved with two of her siblings and their mother to Iceland at the age of 11. She live in Florida from 2000 – 2004 but due to homesickness she moved back to Iceland. She overcame that 7 years later and she loved life in Florida once again.<\/span><\/p>\n

She had the NEED to create since she can remember. So as she grew up in the breathtakingly beautiful country of Iceland she continued her joy of creation by experimenting and learning. She studied industrial design in I\u00f0nsk\u00f3linn in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur where she got a taste of many different types of material and mediums to use in her quest for knowledge including acrylics, glass, metal, plastic, stone, wood and more. She studied oil painting and clay art in the The Reykjav\u00edk School of Visual Arts. But her heart was mostly set on playing with acrylics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite all the technical training she had gotten through schooling, she painted and created with her heart and soul. She did what made her smile and gave her happiness. She thanked \u00a0the people in the USA and in Europe who have supported and believed in her by purchasing her work. Her dream was, to bring a smile and as much joy to people, with her art, just as much as she got while making it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Pat held many solo exhibitions and participated in various group exhibitions as well. She sold her work all over the world as well as helping out charities, both with her labour and displaying her art.<\/span><\/p>\n
